Notice of Public Meeting - Minor Variance Application: 20 Snowshoe Lane

Notice is hereby given that application for minor variance under Section 45(2) of the Planning Act and will be heard by the Township of Armour Committee of Adjustment on May 28, 2024 at 6:45 p.m.   Please provide the Deputy Clerk your email address so an invitation to join the virtual Zoom meeting can be sent which will allow you the opportunity to speak at the meeting.


Location of the Land and Purpose and Effect of the Proposed Minor Variance:

The subject land is known municipally as 20 Snowshoe Lane, Plan 158, Lots 4 to 6, Township of Armour.


The applicant has applied to construct an extension to an existing dwelling which will further encroach into the front yard. Variance is sought from the requirements of the Armour Township Zoning By-law, Section 14.2(d) (iii) to permit a front yard of 25.7 metres on the property zoned “Recreational Commercial” (RC).  The dwelling is currently 26.0 metres from the high-water mark. The zone provision has a 30 metre front yard requirement. Minor Variance/Permission is requested to extend the building a further 0.30 metres into the existing waterfront yard.
